Soccer Star Puts Recovery Down To Miracle Product

Tomáš Souček, the West ham star and Czech international, has put his speedy recovery from a World Cup injury down to a product created by a military veteran.

The 31-year-old suffered serious ligament damage during Czechia’s final group match against Mexico during the tournament this summer. He was told it would be five months before he was playing again, but with the help of a natural relief gel called HEMPE, he was back on the pitch after just three months.

Souček paid tribute to medical staff at his country and club, but has hailed the product created by Farard Darver’s Healthcare International Research. Farard, from Lymington, Hants, whose business is headquartered in Wimborne, Dorset, created the brand after using CBD products following an injury he received while serving in Afghanistan.

Souček said:

“I started using HEMPE on day one after the injury at the World Cup and it worked really well. It’s a product I already used daily because of its benefits."

“After the injury I used it a minimum of twice a day; in the morning I used the hot gel and then after physio sessions I used the cold one. I was so pleased with how it worked; I didn’t feel any pain and now I feel 100 per cent and am back playing."

“They said I would be out for at least five months but was ready after three months. I have so many people to thank but this product is special for me and I will carry on using it. I’d recommend it to everyone because it has made such a huge difference.”

HEMPE has a number of internationally-recognised registrations, licences, certifications and accreditations and is listed on US Elsevier Gold Standard Drug Database and on the US’s FDA National Drug Code (NDC) Directory.

It was the first topical product containing CBD to gain NSF Certified for Sport certification and to be included on The Global Drug Reference Online.

And it is registered with the United Kingdom Government Office for Product Safety Standards.

Farard said:

“Tomáš’s experience is typical of what we hear all the time about HEMPE – the product is being adopted by more and more athletes and pro teams around the world."

“There are hot and cold versions and the benefits are endless – it can help with all sorts of issues in people of all ages. As well as, CBD our gels contain the best ingredients found in nature for relief and the world is getting over the stigma of using a hemp derivative."

“I am so pleased that is has helped Tomáš get back on the pitch long before he was supposed to.”

Emil Riis has become the latest addition to Leicester City’s attacking ranks after completing a move from Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City, subject to league approval.

The 28-year-old Danish forward links up with our Men’s First Team for the 2026/27 campaign, bringing a wealth of Championship experience following spells with the Robins and Preston North End.

He has signed a four-year contract and adds further options to Russell Martin’s squad, with Emil having finished his first season at Ashton Gate as the club’s leading scorer, netting 12 times across all competitions.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Emil said:

“I’m really excited and can’t wait to get going. I think this will be great for me, and I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans and hopefully scoring goals. It’s a massive club with a very exciting project."

“I've played a lot of games in England so I hope I can bring experience to the team. I want to help the young lads we have and push them in the right direction.”

A former Denmark youth international, Emil developed in Randers’ academy before joining Derby County in 2015. He gained his first experience of senior football during a loan spell with Dutch side VVV-Venlo before returning to Randers in 2018.

He established himself in the Danish Superliga ahead of a move to Preston North End in October 2020, going on to score 46 goals in 186 appearances during five seasons at Deepdale.

A move to Bristol City followed in the summer of 2025, where he continued to add to his experience in the second tier and collected the club’s Golden Boot award at the end of the campaign.

On the international stage, Emil has represented Denmark at several youth levels, including Under-21s.
