The certification means that Finedale Foods can handle Red Tractor requirements from its contract manufacturing clients.
It enables the company to source Red Tractor-assured meat and process in accordance with the strict standards demanded by the certification.
Managing director Edward Miles said:
“The Red Tractor label gives us an extra string to our bow and allows us to operate to Red Tractor standards for our clients and customers who wish it."
“Contract manufacturers, along with the other parts of the supply chain like the sourcing farm and abattoir used, need to have the accreditation in order for finished products to be labelled as Red Tractor."
“We are proud to have recently received this accreditation, the latest in a number of accreditations and certifications which also include BRCGS and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Our customers can be reassured of the importance we place on responsible sourcing and safe production.”
