Cynergy Bank Bolsters Executive Team With Senior Appointments



Cynergy Bank has bolstered its executive team with two senior executive appointments. Stefano Combi has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Paul Street appointed as Chief Risk Officer.


Stefano has over 27 years of Financial Services experience having advised Banks across the UK, Europe and globally on M&A, ECM and DCM transactions. He previously was a Managing Director at HSBC where he spent 12 years, of which the last two years he acted as a Principal in the Group M&A team of HSBC, nine years at Dresdner Kleinwort and five years at PwC where he Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).


Commenting on the new role, Stefano said:

“Having followed Cynergy Bank closely over the years and seen its impressive growth trajectory, I am now excited about being part of the C-suite and working closely with the senior management in taking the bank to its next level in developing an innovative mid-market Human Digital banking platform.”

Paul Street has 25 years’ Financial Services experience, having worked at Lloyds Banking Group and Santander before joining Cynergy Bank 7 years ago. Paul is a senior banker with a breadth of experience across all areas of the lending cycle including roles in Credit Risk, Debt Restructuring, Treasury and Client Relationship Management roles, across Structured Finance and SME lending.


Paul commented: “Having been part of the Cynergy Bank journey for several years and watched the firm grow, I am proud and excited to be part of its C-suite to help continue the Cynergy Bank story through further growth and innovation.”
