Sheffield Hallam Partner With World-Leading Cyber Security Association

Sheffield Hallam University has partnered with the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, ISC2, the world's leading member association for cyber security professionals.

The partnership will support students to attain globally recognised certifications, such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®), to increase their employability and job-readiness.

Students on undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Cyber Security and Computer Networks subject group will benefit from this new partnership, which will provide students with access to world-class resources and industry-recognised certifications while also supporting cyber security professionals and businesses in the South Yorkshire region.

Dr Shahrzad Zargari, Course Leader in Cyber Security with Forensics, said: “Our partnership with ISC2 marks a significant milestone for Sheffield Hallam University. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing cutting-edge, industry-relevant education in cyber security. By partnering with ISC2, a globally recognised leader in the field of cyber security, we are enhancing our ability to prepare students for the evolving challenges of the digital world.”

Alex Mortimer, ISC2 Academic Partnerships Lead, said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University. The industry is in desperate need for more professionals with the skills needed to deal with cyber-attacks. Sheffield Hallam has an impressive team of cyber experts, supporting students and the business community, who will benefit immensely from this new partnership.”

By successfully completing the certifications offered by ISC2, students demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities in cybersecurity to employers, which can help them advance their careers.
