The UK’s largest family-owned furniture retailer has scooped a major award celebrating excellence across the home and interiors industry.


Furniture Village was named Best Furniture Retailer at the 2026 uFurnish.com Home Awards, as voted for by members of the public.


The award recognises Furniture Village’s continued commitment to helping customers furnish their homes. It celebrates the family business’s longstanding presence in the industry, its extensive collection of furniture for every room in the home and its focus on offering customers quality, choice and inspiration.


Founded in 1989, Furniture Village has spent more than 35 years helping customers to create homes they love, with a wide range of styles to suit different tastes and budgets. From sofas and statement armchairs to dining furniture and bedroom collections, the retailer offers stylish furniture and accessories for every room in the home.

The awards ceremony, which takes place annually, was held at the Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in London on 19th October, in partnership with Metro. The Best Furniture Retailer category was sponsored by Retail System.

The UK’s largest independently owned furniture retailer, Furniture Village, is set to open an

exciting new store in Staples Corner, North West London, on 26th December 2023, replacing its current space in Friern Barnet.


The new store will offer customers a total of 16,920 sq ft of home inspiration set across two

floors. The store merchandise has been tailored to the needs of the company’s North London clientele, taking into consideration the best-selling styles and ranges from Friern Barnet.


Additionally, the store will offer creative home inspiration, Furniture Village’s latest collections and an unrivalled customer shopping experience. The configuration of the space has been modified to reflect the business’s latest store design, incorporating the new style of platform landings and access for customers to the mezzanine floor sales area.
