Armistice Day Commemorated In Loughborough



Armistice Day was commemorated on Monday, 11 November with a service led by Reverend David Newman at 10.50am held at the Carillon Tower in Queen’s Park, Loughborough.


The Last Post was played and a two-minute silence was observed at 11am.



A number of people gathered at the Carillon Tower to mark the two-minute silence to pay their respects to those who have served and lost their lives in the armed forces.


The Mayor of Charnwood Councillor Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE attended.

This grant awarded by The Health Lottery Foundation will go towards helping the charity run around 620 community meal sessions and serve more than 21,000 three-course meals across England and Wales.
