Property Finance Lender Becomes Patron Of Broker Trade Association

ree

Property finance lender MSP Capital has become the latest Patron of the NACFB, the UK’s biggest trade association for commercial finance brokers.

The move is designed to strengthen the 45-year-old firm’s capacity to engage with brokers seeking finance solutions for property developers among their client base.

Members of the NACFB, standing for National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers, support thousands of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), including in the property sector, through funding.

Leigh Bartlett, MSP Capital’s Chief Executive, said becoming an NACFB Patron would help with the firm’s strategy to grow its already successful broker channel and contribute to a goal of achieving a loan book worth £750 million or more over the next five years.

Leigh said:

“We share the NAFCB’s drive to set the highest standards of customer care and their focus on relationship-led lending. That’s what we’re all about too. Our reasons for joining are to broaden our broker network, work with their unrivalled membership base, increase our visibility in the marketplace and strengthen relationships.”

Established in 1992, the NAFCB is an independent, not-for-profit association. In 2024, its members facilitated more than three quarters of the UK’s entire £38 billion broker-led SME lending market.

As a Patron, MSP Capital will work to uphold the NACFB’s charter and code of practice, championing professional standards and reinforcing the confidence of SMEs to work with brokers.

NACFB Chief Executive Jim Higginbotham said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome MSP Capital as a Patron of the association. Their longstanding presence in the property finance space and their commitment to working closely with brokers align strongly with the values we look for in our Patron community."

“We look forward to supporting their engagement with the intermediary sector and to working together to strengthen outcomes for the SMEs and clients our members serve.”

MSP Capital’s decision to become an NAFCB Patron comes just weeks after the lender reduced pricing across its bridging and development loan products in a separate strategic move aimed at supporting the market.

Brokers and developers can now access MSP Capital bridging deals from 0.75% per month up to 75% LTV and development loans from 0.80% up to 70% LTGDV.

The Rugby Football Union has confirmed the opposition heading to Allianz Stadium to take on Steve Borthwick’s squad in the 2025 Autumn Nations Series.

Australia travels to Allianz Stadium for the opening fixture of the Autumn Nations Series on Saturday 1st November, with the Wallabies securing a 37-42 victory during their last trip to London in 2024.

Australia head to England on the back of a 2024 that saw them get the better of Argentina, Wales, and Georgia, alongside the thrilling clash with England.

Fiji Rugby will then visit Allianz Stadium on Saturday 8th November. Fiji, who secured their first ever win over England in their last visit to Allianz Stadium in 2023, lifted the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup in September of 2024, having secured victories over Japan, Samoa, USA and Tonga on their way to the title.

The All Blacks are set to return to the home of English rugby on Saturday 15th November, following on from the closely contested fixture that kicked off the 2024 Autumn Nations Series. Just two points separated the teams in the latest edition of the two countries coming together, with another exciting clash between the sides confirmed for later this year.

New Zealand finished runners-up in the 2024 Rugby Championship, behind South Africa, notching up wins over England, Japan, Italy, Australia, Argentina, Fiji and Ireland in their fixture schedule for 2024.

Argentina will conclude the 2025 Autumn Nations Series with a journey to southwest London on Sunday 23rd November, having last made the trip to England in 2022. The two sides clashed twice at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, once in the group stages and once in the bronze medal final, with England coming out on top on both occasions.

Los Pumas have had an eye-catching calendar year in 2024, picking up wins over South Africa, New Zealand and Australia in the 2024 Rugby Championship, with other triumphs coming over Uruguay, France and Italy.

“We look forward to welcoming Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina to Allianz Stadium in November,” said Steve Borthwick, England men’s head coach.

“These four matches offer a valuable opportunity for our squad to face different styles of rugby as we continue to develop."

“The atmosphere at Allianz Stadium is always electric, and I know the players truly love every opportunity to represent our country at such a fantastic venue.”

2025 Autumn Nations Fixtures:

Saturday 1st November: England v Australia (3:10pm kick-off GMT)
